Conditions:
a) All of the above prices are inclusive of GST.
b) All inspections come with a fully detailed written report.
c) These rates are for a single visual inspection of the work presented by your builder at the time that we were booked to attend. They cover one only site inspection; our fully detailed written report; and fair and reasonable telephone backup and support after your report is delivered. They do not include or cover any further inspections, re-inspections, site meetings and/or any additionally prepared written correspondence.
d) All additional work carried out by us including our attendance to re-inspections and/or site meetings; the review of excessive correspondence from your builder; the preparation of additional correspondence to yourself or to your builder; alternate product research; the preparation of rectification costings; further site inspections and/or investigation; including all of our out of office travel time will be automatically charged for at the above set out rates.
e) The above rates cover areas within 45 kilometres of our Office including the suburbs of Werribee, Caroline Springs, Hillside, Keilor, Attwood, Macleod, Templestowe, Park Orchards, Bayswater, Ferntree Gully, Lysterfield, Narre Warren, Berwick, Pakenham, Cardinia, Crib Point, Flinders and Rosebud. Additional travel charges will apply outside these areas.
f) The above rates cover houses with up to 375 square metres of living area. For lager sized homes please enquire.
g) As the intention of our service is to identify defects as they arise during the building process – A form of preventative maintenance – we do not in the normal course of quoting our services allow the extra time and expense of preparing our reports in accordance with Practice Note 2 under Section 158 of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 1998 (VCAT PN2).
h) All of our site inspections, reports, correspondence and advice, whether written or verbal, are carried out and provided subject to the limitations and exclusions detailed in our standard terms and conditions that are set out at the bottom of this page.
i) We reserve our rights to review these rates periodically, however current rates will be held for jobs in progress.
j) All attendances to Mediations, Conferences and Hearings at VCAT or other legal jurisdictions are charged for in minimum 5 hour blocks per half day.
Discounts:
We offer a 5% discount on all inspections marked ** above if payment is made at the time of the inspection or within 24 hours of our inspection being carried out. This discount can not be claimed after we have sent your report through to you.
Discounts are not available on our 5 Star Energy Compliance Reports or any of our hourly rate work.
Payment:
Payment is due after the completion of each stage inspection.
If you chose not to take up our discount option, we will send you an invoice with our report.
Our invoices are due for payment within 7 days.
